Friday 19th April .

Friday couldn't come quick enough I was gagging to get the rods out me,Brian,Dai and dafydd went up to  Bradleys lake again for the second weekend in a row. It's a massive lake with a few biggies and plenty of small ones to go for but there are loads of crayfish which are a pain. Me and dadydd arrived at the lake around midday the weather was warm and a nice wind blowing. I set up in the teeth of the wind and away from most of the angling pressure. I used a choddy on the one rod with a Celtic baits ss pop up pink dumbell I sticked out half a kilo of My homemade boilies around the choddy  . On the other 2 I used My homemade scopex and coconut bottom baits that  were fished over spod mix ,consisting of hemp, boilies ,tigers  and some good old vitalin.
As the night went on nothing happened  and I woke up at 9 am boiling hot. The sun was beaming . It was a nice bit of spring sunshine for a change
Me and dafydd joined a angling club in the cotswolds on the friday so we thought we would go and do a night over on the big-pit to have a look round and get a little heads up about the place.it is 100 acres plus and this is the lake me and dafydd will be targeting this year. It's a low stock water with a few big fish in there, but finding them is going to be the hard bit. I did see a big dead pike in the shallows so could be worth a go in winter for pike. Everything is a bit quiet up there no one really tells you a lot and no one really knows how many fish are in there , nor the size of the  carp in there.   Hopefully me or dafydd will get amongst them this coming season . We have a lot of learning to do up there.
I will report back next week we are going up for a 48hr session on friday  . Tight lines robby
