Anthony 9 fish in a quick session on celtic bait

A quick over nighter resulted in these 9 carp biggest being 18lb8 all on Celticbait ss dumbbell pop ups on chod rigs cast to the far margin with an hand full of mixed ss boilies over the top of each cast.

Tuesday 28 August 2012

After not being up the pool for three weeks i get there to find out it isn't  fishing well so i wasn't very confident of a bite but to my delight i had a 13lb and a 17lb2 both on Celticbait ss dumbbell pop ups on a chod rig. I also lent some ss boilies to a friend who had 3 bites on them losing two of them in the snags. Five bites out of seven over the weekend were on Celticbait ss boilies.

Saturday 23 June 2012

Well what a build up to opening night on black swan Dinton,

With expectations hi and fish showing in front of peg 30 I was at least expecting a fish this year, but it wasn’t to be, the wind got up and the weed balls kept taking out my lines, however not to be detoured, I plugged away but to no ad vale to say the least I was disappointed in my self, so pulled off the lake for 24 hrs to try and clear my head! On my return I moved into peg 40 as there where fish showing in there and the south westerly was driving into the bay which at the time I thought was a good idea until again the weed took its toll on me!

I was impressed with some of the anglers having multiple catches and I believe there was 6 30s caught in the opening week well done to them anglers and in the same breath there was a angler rowing his baits out which lowers the tone a bit!
And I must thank Simon for ensuring the lake was in the best shape it could have been in considering the conditions. Well roll on 30 June and I will be trying to get another 24 hrs in! Also look at the new Barrow I have designed It copes on all terrain with ease and makes light work of a long push it also folds down flat, It has been designed by me and is built by me in the uk nothing imported it is available to buy but there is a three week wait for manufacture! so if your interested call me on 07836 699 268 or 01558 650 630.

13/6/12
It was a wednesday and i had been wanting to be on the bank for sometime. My stepson wanted to go as well so that was that off we went.
Set up in a large double swim in which i had been baiting for sometime. Rods baited two with G-Nut one with crustacean. With a korda krusha i made small stick mixes, a new twist for me but what turned out to be quite a result.
First night, as seems to be the way with me for some reason was quiet.
The second day i didnt put rods out til after lunch. The first carp came on G-Nut was a beautiful light coloured common of 16lb 8oz. The rest of daylight was quiet but as ive said before it usually is on this pool. My stepson had a nice little mirror out as well.
The rain came down that evening so bivvy bound rods were out and we were set for the night. About midnight my left hand rod was screaming off, no warning just a complete one toner. Played the spirited carp to the net. It was just shy of 20lb but what a fish. Sadly no picture as this fish simply didnt want to behave for the camera so just thought it best to get it back home.
The third day was a weird morning with liners all over the place strange little takes but then this little guy takes the bait. Was off like a mini rocket. Caught this little un a few months ago and it went just over 10lb. It went just under 10lb now....
Got rod sorted and back onto its spot.
Nothing more that day again. At evening sorted rods and rigs out and placed on their baited areas. Shortly before light my left hand rod was off again to what felt like a decent fish. It was i high double common. Still in dark colours. During my stepson photographing it something wasnt right with the flash that i hadnt noticed at the time. Im usually confident with my kit, camera etc.
Anyway that was the last fish of the session. It was a good session with me landing 4 and a bream. My stepson landing 3. Celticbaits did it again for me as always.
Thankyou celticbait.
